Thankful Thursdays!

Ben Howard Bath Time

Why Hello Bloglets!
I hope that you are all having a sparkling Thursday...

Apologies for the delay, I was planning on blogging again on Tuesday and doing something yesterday but unfortunately time ran away with me and I've been quite poorly. I am planning on writing some blogs that aren't time specific so that if I ever do get too busy/poorly I have one ready and waiting to just hit upload, but I'm not sure if that's just cheating?
Anyway, the main part of Tuesday was spent in the bath for me, I think I may have broken some world record for spending 2 and a half hours in the bath without getting out! Considering I can normally only stand laying there for about half an hour, or until I have to turn the taps off and then I get bored. But I persevered and had a very relaxing time. My mum got me Marks and Spencers Bath Caviar for Christmas, which doesn't exactly create bubbles, but it does leave my skin feeling lovely and smooth. And it sounds nice and posh too!

Marks & Spencers Bath Salts

Other than that I only used co-op's own bubble bath as it was an impromptu decision and not being a huge bath lover I don't keep oodles of bubble bath at my disposal. But it was bubbly and lovely and warm all the same! I'm not sure that I buy in on expensive bubble bath as I only really want one thing out of that product, bubbles. If it does anything for my skin then that's a bonus, but I have enough lotions and potions to do that for me themselves.

Ben Howard is a must for me in the bath, and Charlie Simpson. They are both quite depressing but they're also upbeat enough to keep me interested and, I just love them both.

Other than my marathon bath, life's been pretty simple in my corner of the World. One thing that I have done, is be a lot more thankful for the things that I do have. I've had a tough couple of months with losing my job, having to learn to live with literally no money, and I've been very, very sick. But I seemed to wake up this morning with a slightly different attitude. Yes, I realised that I've lost my Driving License Counter-Part, but I can send off and get a new one. Yes, my house needs a bloody good clean before I go back to work, but I'm extremely lucky to live in such a lovely little house with a man that I adore.

With my being ill, my Dog's gone away to my Mum's overnight as Lee didn't want to leave me to have to look after him and I miss him so much! You don't realise how much you love seeing someone's face every day until it's gone. All night I kept expecting a little black head to poke around the door to see if it was safe to come in, so I'll be very very thankful to have him home!

So lovely lot, take a look around and think about the things you are lucky to have, I promise you that there will be something!

Love and kisses

No7 Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise - Review

Hello Bloglets!

This isn't my actual blog post for today, but I wanted to do a review on the No7 products that I started using just yesterday as I wanted to share my first glance opinions.
No7 Cleanser, Toner & Moisturiser

Firstly, it is presented beautifully, especially the moisturiser, it come in a glass pot, something that instantly makes a product feel luxurious. For what they are the cleaner (right) and toner (left) also look very nice and they make a pretty little set on my bathroom shelf.
No7 Soft & Soothed Cleanser

The only product that I feel you need a fair amount out of, is the cleanser, but, as it's my first ever go, I don't know if I'm using too much or if 5 pumps is average for a cleanser. I was also shocked that it's doesn't foam up and become soapy, but this is something I love as I cannot stand getting things in my eyes and it just makes the whole process easier as you don't have to mess about crouching over a sink in order to not drench your clothes.

No7 Soft & Soothed Toner

I'm still putting too much toner onto the cotton wool as you only need a tiny amount, just put the cotton wool over the top and turn it upside down and that's enough for your whole face! I have used toners before, and I already much prefer this one. It doesn't instantly make your face feel like you've had botox and that your skin is really tight, which for me as someone who has dry skin, I find often happens. I have put the moisturiser on almost straight away both times but so far, it's just left my skin feeling refreshed and completely product free.
No7 Soft & Soothed Toner

The moisturiser is probably the product which I am most pleased with, not just for it's appearance but also for how little you need! I've used it twice now and you can barely tell it's even been opened. You just need to dab your index finger in once for your forehead and then once for each cheek and your face feels completely moisturised and nourished, and when I say "dab", I mean it.

No7 Beautiful Skin Moisturiser

I'm also pleased with how it feels after application, I've worn it now with and without make up and have experienced positive results with both. I have used many many different moisturisers and often find them heavy and clammy. But, as soon as I had left my bathroom I couldn't feel it sat on my skin and to touch my face, it felt like I could apply my make up straight away. It is now 4 hours later and, having just felt my face again (that would sound very wierd out of context!) it feels lovely, I don't have any make up on today and you can still feel that it has been moistuised, it feels soft and smooth and the best my skin has ever felt.

No7 Essential Moisture Day Cream

I'm a bit reluctant to comment on it's performance under foundation, as I'm currently experiencing some problems with my foundation, I'm using Maxfactor's Face Finity All Day Flawless Foundation in "Golden 75" and find that it dries my skin out so much. So whilst No7's Essential Moisturiser hasn't perfected this problem, I wasn't really expecting it too, however the fact that it absorbs so quickly meant that I could crack on with my make up a lot quicker!

No7 Cleanser, Toner & Moisturiser

Overall, I am totally and utterly sold on these three! I may branch out and try other brands in time as I'm new to the routine as well as the products. But I'm even considering doing this twice a day after being sceptical that I'd have the time as the products enable me to complete it so much quicker than I anticipated! They look and feel like they're more expensive than they really are and I'm already experiencing the benefit of silky smooth skin!

A New Woman!

Hello Bloglets.

I was very naughty and didn't post yesterday, but I was soo busy and then once I'd stopped, I flopped!

I had a lovely day though, I'm going to miss having every Sunday with Lee once I go back to work but needs must, I am an adult (not sure who I'm trying to convince there, you or me) and I must earn some pennies so I can fuel this beauty addiction that I have developed since being unemployed.

I'm suffering from riding Leo now as even the muscles in my feet ache, punishment for not going often enough, I know! I didn't fall off though *proud face*. It's the thing I'm most looking forward to about starting my new job, getting a car and being able to start a proper routine with him. As well as having money for the list of beauty products that I NEED!

Leo the Thoroughbred Horse

I was then faced with the dilemma that Lee had decided to go out almost as soon as I got home, so do I stay in because I'm pooooped and smell like horses, but not see him until about 8:30pm (It was about 2 o'clock at this point)? Or do I go with him and watch him play snooker and suck up the fact that I have no make up, a break out in spots and of course, the smell. I went out. I looked more presentable than half of the people in there anyway.

My sister came whilst I was there as Lee was playing her boyfriend, Chrissy and gave me a little surprise present to cheer me up! I'd recently asked her if she bothered with the "Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise" thing as I'm very naughty and never, ever have and she instantly told me off and said I'll be all wrinkly when I'm older if I don't start now! Eek!

So anyway, She'd been out, the lovely lovely Sister that she is, and bought me the same things that she uses as we have exactly the same skin type, which was No7's Soft and Soothed Gentle Cleanser and Toner as well as their Essential Moisture Day Cream. So I started using them this morning, I'll probably only have time to do the whole shabang at night as I get up as late as I physically can in the mornings but I have fairly high hopes and I'll certainly report on my findings. I'm currently just breaking out so I'm curious to see how it effects that. I've linked the three products below from boots website.

Today has been a boring, lazy Monday, a bit of following my Mum around Debenhams and Next hating myself for not having any money and then catching up on the TV I missed whilst spending most of last week in Bed.

Now, I want fish and chips, on the only night that a fish shop is closed. Such is life.

Some Very Exciting News!

Hello Bloglets!

I hope that you are all well today and have had a nice lazy Saturday like me!

Yesterday, I blogged that I do not have a job, today, I do! Yipee! After just over 2 months over being unemployed after leaving my previous job at MINI, I have accepted a job offer at Vauxhall in my local town of Boston, so, if you live near, pop in and see me any time from next week! I'm very lucky to have found a position somewhere that shares the same ethos as me (a 100% focus on customer service and my ideal for feeling valued as an employee) and at a company whom is having a very exciting year, what with the Vauxhall Adam and the Mokka!

I refuse to let this blog turn into a platform of me advertising myself as a Car Sales Executive but I was just too excited not to share it so I promise from now on no more boring car talk!

I'm off to see Leo tomorrow which I'm very excited for as I haven't been for about 2 weeks, now I'll get a car back I should be able to go 3 or 4 times a week as I've wanted to for so long, so that's exciting news for both me and my thighs!

I'm a big one for planning, I have to have everything planned out or I freak out, and, since I'll be having more money coming in, I've obviously already sorted how I'll spend it and then some! But my first project is to re-do my dressing room! Lee threw away my dressing table when we moved as it was pretty grotty and he couldn't be bothered to try and make it sustain the move so it just went in the bin... But I've got my plan in my head of how my new dressing room will look.

Unfortunately, we rent our house, so the walls have to stay cream, but I'm going to for white wood, pink and mint greeny/blue accents and lots of pretty things including these for my brushes from Ikea!

My blog's keep turning out way way longer than I would like, I'm rubbish at being to the point and not waffling on so I'll sign off now and get snuggled into my Saturday night TV (Oh, to be 20 hey...) whilst Lee's at a big family meal, leaving me in quarantine because I'm poorly.

Love and Kisses

A Very Warm (& Slightly Nervous) Welcome!

Hello Blog Readers and Welcome to my head space!
I feel like this should come with some sort of health/hazard warning, I’m not entirely sure that my "headspace" is a safe place for anyone to be!
This blogpost is going to be short and extremely rambly as I feel that I need to do some form of formal introduction to what this blog is going to be about and this is my first ever blogpost so it's going to be pretty rusty!
So, about me! I am 20 years old, I'm in-between jobs but I generally work in the car trade, I love anything that's pretty and I'm turning more into a "girl" everyday (for my Mum who grew up with an adamant tomboy, that's a big deal!). I live in the same village that I grew up in with my boyfriend and best friend, Lee and our puppy, Max.
(Isn't he adorable!)
This blog is inspired by Sprinkle of Glitter and Tanya Burr, their blogs are so inspiring and I could read them all day and I know that they've really helped me through a rubbish time recently so, if my blog even helps one person. I'll be very very happy!
It's also a way to save my boyfriend's sanity, I do warn you that it will be full of random thoughts on various topics that crop up during my day, probably a million pictures and anecdotes of my dog and hopefully my views on different make ups as I’m about to embark on a mission to try out some new brands and from watching Tanya Burr's youtube channel I now feel confident that I know what i'm looking for in cosmetics, so it'll also be me keeping you up-to-date on that!
I feel very arrogant to think that anyone will care about what I'm writing but even if nobody ever reads this, I hope it will be something nice for me to look back on if I’m feeling blue or that I’ve lost my way a bit and as I said, it saves Lee's ears from having to hear all of my ramblings!
I'm going to try and use all of my own pictures as I don't know how to credit other people and I only have my iPhone5 to do that, so bare with me on the quality of pictures! Also, hopefully as of next week I'll be working full time so this will be a hobby for my days off!

I think I'm just going on now because I'm scared of submitting this to the big world of the interenet so wish me luck.. here goes.

Thank you very much for absorbing my thoughts so far Mr Blog, I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Love and Kisses

Becky
