Country Bumpkin!

Hello Lovelies,

This blog post is a slightly different theme to most of them! I was looking around my house the other day and was pleasantly surprised at how countrified it feels. I’ve always longed for a cottage that feels all snug and that all of my little tit bits fits in nicely to so it’s nice to look around my house now and see that it does all tie in and look good.

As I’ve said before we used to live in a brand new house and a lot of my décor didn’t match with the theme of the house and actually looked a bit odd. But my old horse-shoe and my ivory metal note holder all “go”.

My mum bought me some Joules Kitchen Accessories for Christmas and they look lovely. It’s a hand wash and moisturiser set and a recipe tin. They don’t sound like much but they’re nice little finishing touches to my kitchen.

Last year we were at our local village show and we bought two egg cups, this sounds like the beginning of a very strange story. But basically, Lee said to me one day that he wanted to base our kitchen around that style and I think we’ve done quite well.

I don’t want to include too many pictures of my home because It’s mine and Lee’s private space but as you can see I’ve just put in some sentimental things that me and Lee have picked up along our journey together and it’s lovely that we both know when and where we bought it.

I think that it’s things like this that really turn a house into a home and makes it feel familiar and comfortable.

We’ve got a long way to go before our house is finished and we’ve collected everything that we want, I suppose it’ll last for our lifetimes as people are forever buying extras for their houses aren’t they. But we like the direction it’s going in and it’s just nice that it’s ours…

Love and kisses
