My Make Up Brush Collection!

Hello Lovelies,

Apologies I've been away for a few days but it's been hectic my end! I thought that I would come back with a bang and show you my Make-Up Brush collection!

Now, my collection isn't vast, nor is it particularly expensive or established at the moment, but it suits me fine and there's only a few that I feel I miss on a regular basis.

So my most favourite brush, and probably the only brush that I've ever gone out intentionally to buy, is the Expert Face Brush from Real Techniques. It's perfect for putting on my foundation and it fits the contours of my face wonderfully.

Possibly the one brush that I couldn't live without is this eyeliner brush from Barry M, I use this on my eyebrows as it was the thinnest brush that I could find in my local boots but I really really love it. I have extremely thin everybrows and every other brush is too thick but this one fits the bill!

My go-to brush for most things eyeshadow is my Eye Smudge brush from Bobbi Brown, I wish that I owned more of these because they're just about pointed enough to do your crease with, but large enough to do your whole lid and they're really good at blending as well.

This brush is one that I've recently fallen in love with, It is the Buffing Brush, again by Real Techniques. I've started to push my powder onto my face as it's translucent and there purely to hold my foundation in place and I think that this brush is perfect for that! I also use it for highlighter as my blusher brush is always dirty!

The only brushes that I'm really missing is a big huge one to do my bronzer or powder with so I could lightly dust my face, and then some more eyeliner and eye shadow brushes so that I don't have to use the same brush twice!

The links to buy all of the aforementioned brushes are right here:
Real Techniques Bobbi Brown Barry M Avon

Which brush could you just not live without?

Good Evening My Lovelies!

Hello Lovelies,

I hope that you are all well!

My blog is lying to us all and saying that I've not uploaded today, I DID! But it was at about 7am so maybe it's slipped into yesterday somehow...

Anyway, I felt bad and didn't want anyone to think I'd neglected you, so I thought that I'd just drop in to wish you all a lovely, lovely weekend. I'm writing tomorrow's blog tonight ready to upload fairly early again so that fingers crossed I can have a relaxing evening with Lee.

I'll start by saying one thing. I. Am. Exhausted. As you may well know I went to London on Tuesday, which I think has totally messed me up, I haven't had any other time off since a week last Thursday and thus haven't had any time to sleep in or reallt relax so tonight when Lee said he was out, I was a teeny bit excited to be on my own.

However, I just looked at the clock and realised I'd spent 2 hours and 15 minutes randomly messing about on my phone and thus had the fastest shower known to woman, this did unfortunately mean no shaving (sorry Lee), no nourishing (sorry hair) and no exfoliating (sorry face) but I figured that I'd rather have it this way and get into bed to just watch TV and do nothing else than spend hours on my face and hair to only then get another late night and be tired anyway.

It's also just hit me that I've not eaten, whoops...

What are you lovelies up to this weekend? Anything exciting? Any loovely pampering for me to be uber jealous of?

love and kisses

Thankful Thursdays - Home

Hello Lovelies,

I hope that you're all well! I know that I am, I've had a long, hard day and now I'm so glad to be sat in bed with my dog curled up next to me...

That brings me nicely onto this week's thankful thursday (clever that!) which is, my home. I don't live in a huge period property in rolling hills or in a snazzy townhouse in the centre of some fast paced city but it's mine and I lurrrve it.

It's only a little house in the middle of the village that I grew up in, but it's extremely old and thus, quirky, and I think that it's the best place in the world.

I know that I am very, very lucky to have my own home, and to share it with someone I love, at the tender age of 20, and I have to remind myself sometimes that I do work hard to pay for it and I, just like anybody, deserve it.

I didn't move home until I was 19 years old and it came as a huge shock to me when I had to leave my childhood home, I don't think I'll ever forget that house (possibly because it's 100 yards down the road?) but I no longer wish that I still lived there.

We lived in a new build house in a very big village half an hour away from where we are now for 6 months last year, and it was awful. There was nothing wrong with the house, or the area, but it was never home. I've been pretty ill in this house and it's made me feel safe and comforted, whereas I never felt that in the new build. I think I'm just meant to live in old, wonky houses!

I don't want this to come across as a huge gloat about my wonderful house, because it's nothing special, it's attached to our village pub, which obviously played no influence on Lee's decision to move here, but other than that it's just a regular house. It's got windows and doors and each room has four walls, but It's somewhere that really feels like home and when I'm feeling down, there's nowhere that I'd rather be.

Where is your favourite place in the world?

Love and kisses

Exciting Adventures Featuring L'Oréal Paris!

L'Oreal Paris Goody Bag

Hello Lovelies,

BOY, do I have a lot to tell you!

I've tried to keep this as much of a secret as possible as I wasn't sure as to whether or not I'd be able to go, but my lovely boyfriend came up trumps again!

So, if you follow me on twitter you probably couldn't have missed this, but if you don't (and you should...) I went to London! Not overly exciting to most, but seeing as I love in the middle of the Lincolnshire countryside and London is a fair old treck away, I was super super excited.

Selfridges

The lovely and gorgeous people at L'Oréal Paris had ever so kindly invited me to the launch of their new Sublime Tanning line and it looks great.

L'Oreal Paris Goody Bag

They've added some extra products to their existing line such as their Dark tanning spray and their Tanning Optimisers and body oil. I haven't actually tried any of them yet as I got back super late and have been working since, but I cannot wait for a day off so that I can have a go!

L'Oreal Paris Express Pro Self-Tanning Dry Mist

L'Oreal Paris Tinted Gel

L'Oreal Paris Nourishing Body Oil

I was so daunted at the idea of going to London, on my own, to a beauty event, and you'll also know if you follow me on twitter that I managed to give myself a friction burn the night before, clever me! But the girls at L'Oréal were so so lovely and we even got a chance to meet Charlotte Connoley, who is their Body and Tanning Expert and the very same lady who tanned Cheryl Cole for their photo shoot!

L'Oreal Paris Goody Box

Overall, it was a very tiring, but very very memorable experience. I now can't think what all my fuss was about as I navigated the tube well in my opinion and everyone was so lovely and I had such good fun! I can't wait for the next time! You can find all of L'Oréal's new tanning line right here!

L'Oreal Paris Venue

Have you ever been to London? What's your favourite part?

St Moriz Self Tanning Mousse - A Review

Hello Lovelies,

Apologies that I've been away for a few days, my internet has been so slow that blogging didn't bear thinking about! However today I am going to London so I thought that I would treat myself with a spot of fake tan before I went!

I purchased St Moriz Self Tanning Mousse a couple of weeks ago as it was only £4.99 from my local Tesco so I thought it was worth the risk!

St Moriz Self Tanning Mousse

Firstly, it is SO worth the £4.99, I usually buy St Tropez which is a lot more expensive and although it is darker and lasts longer, this one is a brilliantly less expensive alternative.

One thing that really caught my eye about this product is that you don't have to wash off the excess after 8 hours, so you can imagine that I jumped at the thought of something saving me time! Instead this tan is completely wearable the next day without the faff of having two showers in the space of 8 hours.

St Moriz Self Tanning Mousse

It also comes off really well, I find with some brands that after a few days you go really patchy and it doesn't just fade off, whereas this one does! I didn't actually notice that it was coming off other than the fact my skin got gradually paler.

Overall, for £4.99, I may just go and stock up as this stuff is brilliant, it suits me down to the ground and doesn't have a horrible smell to it either.

What's your favourite brand of fake tan?

love and kisses

All Wrapped Up In A Bow - My 5 New Lip Products

Hello Lovelies,

I thought that a lovely way to wrap up last week's reviews of new lip products would be to just do a little summary of them all! Maybe it's corny, maybe I just missed you too much!

Rimmel by Kate Moss Lipstick

So, I started the week with Rimmel's Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick and I loved it, I actually think that of all of them, this stayed on the best! The colour that I chose was 08 Rossetto and you can find the full blog post on it here.Overall I think that this is the one that I will be reaching for in my local boots again first as it's such a good all rounder and is totally worth £5.49

Rimmel Apocalips

Next I went for the most vibrant product that I own and chose another Rimmel product in their Apocalips. I love this product, but I don't find that it stays on all that well, you can see that you've been wearing something for a while, but I love the glossy finish that this product gives when you first put it on and you lose that quite quickly. Again, it's only £5.99 and I definately will be purchasing more of these in the future, it just wont quite be front of the queue. Read my full review here!

Revlon Vital Radiance Lipstick

Wednesday brought me to a product that I'm genuinely sad has been discontinued, it's Revlon's Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lipcolour, and the Moisture Boosting part is bang on the money, out of all of the products, this one left my lips feeling as though I'd just been wearing a lip balm all day! Unfortunately you can only get this on eBay now really, but I would suggest trying to get one as I love it and I'm glad that you get quite a lot in one product as I'll be devastated when I run out! The full review is right here guys!

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstain

Thursday was my day off and maybe I felt a little more daring as I put more effort into my clothes on my days off, and although I only wore the paler colour of Maybelline's Colour Sensational Lip Stains, it was still pretty bright! These are lovely, vibrant colours, that more wear off during the course of the day, than as soon as you have a drink or something to eat. I wouldn't say that I'm in a massive hurry to buy these again, but I'm certainly glad that I have two and that they will last me a long time! I've gone into more detail right here.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick

Well I obviously decided to go out with a bang and end on Estee Lauder's Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick, now I don't think I've ever really judged a product on what it says it'll do versus what it actually does, but long lasting, this is not. I gave it a bit of a harsh time as I wore it in a meeting, but for £19.50 I would have expected it not to be completely gone. Having said that I loved the finish of this one the most and it will definately be my go-to when going out for a meal (and thus I know it wont stay on anyway) or for things like my birthday as it's a little bit luxurious! Want to know more? Just click here!

So there you go, there are my 5 lip products that I've bought in the last 6 weeks! There isn't one of them that I don't like or regret buying and it's a hard decision as to which one will take pride of place in my make up bag! I think for now it will be Rimmel's Lasting Finish by Kate as it's not too expensive so I wont feel guilty wearing it for work!

What do you think to any of these products? Are there any that you really enjoy using?

love and kisses

Estee Lauder's Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick - Review

Hello Lovelies,

Here is my fifth and unfortunately final lip product this week, I've loved having the challenge and writing little notes on how all of the products have got on throughout the day and coming home every night to report back to you all! Hopefully I'll keep up the daily posts anyway!

So today's product was Estee Lauder's Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick, which has the longest name and the biggest price tag!

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick

Now, in all honesty, I think if I'd have tried this product on it's own and not during a week long trial of different lip products of varying prices, I'd have said I loved it and it was totally worth the £19.50. However unfortunately for this little lovely, it just didn't last as long as the far cheaper alternatives!

I was in a morning long meeting today, and by the time I came out, it had gone, it was a 9.30 until 1.30pm jobby, but still, for the price and the fact that I didn't have anything to eat or drink, I would have expected it to still be there. So, in terms of staying power, it's not the best.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick

Colourwise, I LOVE it, absolutely, the colour is perfect for me and suits me down to the ground, it's a beautiful natural colour for everyday at work and you can slick on a couple more coats and make it more obvious if you want to.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick

The finish is lovely too, it's got a sheen to it and it smells beautiful! It's totally perfect for the upcoming spring time as well as my chosen shade is a medium pinky/dark peach colour, which may not sound the most spring-like, but I think the sheen once on the lips really lifts it.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick

I find it really easy to apply too, partially due to the subtle colouring, but mostly due to the pointed tear-drop design of the lipstick, it's shaped perfectly for even the smallest of lips (mine) and with just one quick and easy application your lipstick is good to go!

Even after all of this reminiscing, do I think it's worth the £19.50? Maybe, on my birthday, but probably not now I've tried all of the other fanastic products this week. It's not because this product it particularly any worse, but because it's not £15's worth of better...

Which products do you think are worth the price tag?

love and kisses

Findation - What a wonderful find!

Findation

Hello Lovelies,

Have you discovered it yet? If not, why not?!

The "it" to which I am referring is findation.com, why nobody thought of this sooner I do not know, but it is such a fantastic idea.

If you're anything like me and you live in the countryside, you'll know how much of a hassle it can be to find the right shade of some more high end products, take Laura Mercier for example, my nearest counter is 2 hours away and the same goes for NARS, MAC and many, many others.

This is where Findation.com comes in, you enter as many foundations as you can that you've previously worn and that have been the right colour, and findation then works out what colour you would be in other brands.

Findation

Now, I haven't actually bought, nor tried anything from Findation.com so I can't say how accurate it is, but I'm presuming that it'll be pretty good based on the results that I've already come up with.

Findation

It also contains links to where you can buy the foundation from, which I think would really let this website down if it didn't.

Overall, I can't find a fault with this website! Possibly only that it only seems to contain the matte version of any foundations but I'm guessing that's because you'd be the same colour in the sheer version too!

Have you discovered findation.com yet? Tell me what your thoughts of it are!

love and kisses

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstains - Review

Hello Lovelies!

As promised, here is my fourth lip product review this week, and today it is Maybelline's Colour Sensational Lipstains!

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstains

Unlike normal, I bought two different colours to try, a light pink colour and a more vibrant fuchsia as I wanted to push myself! However, the light pink colour comes out pretty bright too! The lighter pink colour is called Tender Rose and the fuchsia is Plum Flushed.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstain Swatch

In terms of ease of application, this is definately the easiest product of the week, but that's not surprising as it's essentially a pen that you draw onto your lips so you can be extremely accurate. For staying power, it's not brilliant, but then I spent my morning baking cakes (and thus licking out various bowls obviously) so it had a bit of a tough challenge!

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstains

They taste incredible too, which I know isn't the main reason to purchase something, but my god, it's amazing. And it encourages me to wear it more.

They're only £5.99 from Boots as well which is pretty good, although I'm not too sure if I'd purchase it again just because of the staying power.

love and kisses

Thankful Thursdays - My Personality

Hello Lovelies,

Another triple whammy for you today as I've also got a product review to come, but I really like this "Thankful Thursdays" feature as it makes me get some perspective and hopefully perks you up a bit before the weekend!

This one is a tad self-indulgent...

Today I am mostly thankful for my new found personality, I used to be the kind to never ask for anything and never put myself "out there" for fear of rejection, but I seemed to have grown up a lot in the last 6 months and my biggest mantra has been "if you don't ask, you don't get."

Bear this in mind lovelies, the worst that someone can ever say is no, and I'll bet that they respect you a lot more for being confident enough to ask. I experienced a few knock backs job wise at the beginning of the year, but all of them commended me for coming forward and having the balls to put together a business plan and go into a fully established business and let them know what I think.

Now, I extend that into all walks of life, I was too nervous to ask for certain things for my birthday, but Lee's said he'll do what he can and of course, I don't expect the world. I was too shy to ask him if we could look at engagement rings together so that we both knew firmly what we wanted, and he said yes to the idea right away!

I asked at work if I could have an Adam as a demonstrator because it's silly that nobody in my part of the country has ever even seen one, and guess what, I should be in it by the end of next week. I've also given them my business plan and they're having a very, very serious look at it.

I don't want to go into all of the gorey details of my life and how I've applied it, but seriously, if there's something you've been dreaming of, just go for it. Ask someone for help, ask me for help! I'll always respond to anyone!

I used to say "yeah but I'd be mortified if I got rejected" but now, I just take it all with a smile, you can't have everything all of the time and you can't always get what you want, but it does pay off, if 9 people say no, 1 will probably say yes!

What have you been scared to ask for and when you did it fell right into your lap?

love and kisses

So much is changing!

Hello lovelies,

Not a review or beauty related blog post this time I'm afraid, but have no fear, my fourth lip product will be featuring later on today!

This is more of a little check in, a lot has changed recently and I just wanted to let you guys know! (or maybe it's more so that I can try and rap my own head around it all)

Well, where to start, we're on April already, and over half way through it at that! I was about to write "two months ago I was living somewhere else! but it was five months ago, this is simply crazy. So anyway, 5 months ago I was living in a house that felt cold and empty, that Lee hated and barely ever lived in and I'd just lost my job and thus, seeing my best friend every day. You can imagine that at that point I felt pretty low, I wasn't sure if Lee and I were going to make it through the Christmas period and I was running out of money, fast.

Never then would I have thought that I would be sat, just 5 months on, happier than ever with Lee, my finances in order and my dream job within touching distance and being actively worked towards. And just look at this blog! I'm so so close to another milestone of views and I feel like it's really starting to gain some momentum.

I don't want to ramble on and on about how great my life is now, but I'm proud of myself, the old me would have gone from temp job to temp job, moved back in with my Mum and wallowed, but because of Lee, I had to pick myself up and carry on fighting to secure our future.

Chocolate Cupcakes
I must go now as my hair is drier than the sahara desert and needs to be wrapped up in some argan oil infused conditioner! Any great tips for super super dry hair?

love and kisses

Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lipcolour - Review!

Hello Lovelies,

A second blog for you today and it's the third day of my wearing different lip products!

Today I chose to wear Revlon's Vital Radiance Moitsure Boosting Lipcolour and I'll be honest - I didn't know that Revlon made it until I just googled it! Nowhere on the packaging does it mention Revlon, all that it says is "Vital Radiance" - Bizarre if you ask me because it's actually pretty good!

Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lipcolour

In terms of ease of application, it's the best product I've used so far this week, it just glides on, because the colour I chose was a "my lips but better" (are you seeing a pattern yet?!) colour, you didn't really need to be super accurate but I'm sure that even with a more vibrant colour it would be just as easy due to the shape of the product itself.

Revlon Vital Radiance Lipstick

For staying power it isn't the best, but it did stay on for a couple of hours and to be honest I never believe adverts that say that a lip product will stay on all day.

Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lipcolour

It's also left my lips feeling a lot smoother and more conditioned than they did at the beginning of the day, and this is something that really, really impresses me in a lip product!

Revlon Vital Radiance Moisture Boosting Lipcolour

I have also just discovered that this product is being discontinued - so maybe this blog is the slightest bit pointless, but you can still get them on eBay for pretty cheap and I'd stock up whilst you can if I were you!

love and kisses

The New Vauxhall Adam - A Very Girly Review!

Hello Lovelies!

This morning I decided to do something very different and review a new car, it's the Vauxhall Adam and it was just too cute not to mention to you all!

Vauxhall Adam

If ever there were a car made for fashionistas and beauty addicts – It’s the Vauxhall Adam, with over 1 million different combinations of specification you can really make it your own, and more importantly – you can make it really pretty.

Vauxhall Adam Interior
I’ll start with the boring bit i.e how the car drives, it’s not dissimilar to a MINI in that the steering is very light and when on country roads you could easily feel as though you’re rallying around a dirt track, however it’s responsive and nippy out of corners making it perfect for my drive home. It gives good mpg too, with the fastest engine still giving you 50+ mpg (so the book says) however I managed to get home and back again (a total of 50 miles) and only used 20 miles worth of fuel, and I gave it some!

Now on to what is, for me, the best bit about a car... How it looks! There are 12 different exterior all with brilliantly movie-themed names from “James Blonde” to “Greenspotting” and “Purple Fiction” They’re all rather nice colours as well, no minging ones as there usually is!

Vauxhall Adam Steering Wheel

The interior is impressive aswell, you can get it completely purple including purple leather – lush! And there’s the same story in white too. My favourite interior feature is the option to have LED lights in the headline (ceiling) that look like stars at night time! Cute.

Vauxhall Adam Accessories

It doesn’t just stop with paint and colours, though, they’ve really put a lot of thought into the minor details – for instance, a drinks holder than not only has space for an organiser, but you can also chose for an extra slot for either a notepad, pen or tissues! The key fob also has a dash of your exterior colour which I think really goes that little bit further and made me smile every time I looked at the key (not something that I make a habit of doing with my car keys)

Vauxhall Adam Colours

It also has more options as standard than the Audi A1, so in my eyes, you can’t really go far wrong. Come in to buy one and you’ll find yourself piling on the extras so I hope that you have some self restraint!

What combination would you go for? Are you a Jam, Glam or a Slam?

If you want to know more information, call me! At Thurlby Motors in Boston on 01205 361700 or just email me your address and I'll send you out a brochure!

love and kisses

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer - A Review

Hello Lovelies!

I'm feeling very organised writing this blog as soon as I get in from work! Today's Lip Product that I have tried out is Rimmel's Apocalips, and Wow!

Rimmel Apocalips

It isn't the easiest product in the world to apply, partially due to it's super vibrant colour and partially due to my inexperience at putting on lipstick, but once it's on, it does look great.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

It will very very quickly get all over your teeth, however, if you don't do the "magic thumb" trick so I would strongly advise that you do this straight away to avoid looking silly!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

It also doesn't last extremely long, and by that I mean the sheen and the glossiness wears off rather quickly and especially after even one drink, the base of the colour remains on for quite some time but if you want your lips to stay looking how they did when you first applied it, I'd keep it in your handbag all day!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer Swatch

This was the first lip product that I've ever bought that's made me feel really polished and like I've put uber amounts of effort into my make up, it's also the first product that I've been super excited to wear out.

It's not expensive either, you can buy it here for just £5.99!

What do you think of the Lip Lacquers?

Rimmel's Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick - Review

Hello Lovelies!

I hope that you are all as good as me! This week I'm challenging myself to do a review every single day on a different lip product - I've only just got into wearing anything on my lips and so I wanted to make the reviews a bit special!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick

The first one I went for was Rimmel's Lasting Finish by Kate, my colour of choice was "08 Rossetto" which is a "my natural lips, but better" sort of colour for me. It's just a shade darker and deeper than my natural lips which means that it gives your mouth definition and oomph without being too bright.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick

Unusually for me, I put this on in my dressing room, which meant it had an assault course of challenges to face before I even get to my car! This held up amazingly, I was so shocked, I actually already had it in my hand ready to reapply before noticing that I didn't need to.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick

I did need to top it up half way through the morning, but I spend most of my time on the phone and dirinking hot chocolate. It also was reapplied after my late lunch and then lasted me until I got home. It doesn't feel heavy on the lips, and although you can tell that you've got something on, it's not uncomfortable.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Swatch

Overall, for £5.49 from Boots, it's not going to break the bank, and of all of the things that I've tried on my lips recently, it's definately stayed on the best. What do you think to the Lasting Finish by Kate Collection?

Baby Steps

Hello Lovelies,

I hope that the title of this blog hasn't mislead anyone, and sorry Mum if I've just given you a heart attack! This blog post is not about actual babies.

I've had a lot of change quite recently, what with moving and getting my new job, and I almost feel as though I'm on a roll and I want to keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone, so I've been coming up with a few new ideas for this little beauty.

Firstly, I was thinking of doing an outfit of the day piece, just a short piece to say, hey, this is what I'm wearing today, what do you think? I'm always nervous of fashion so I could do with anyone's comments and I think I'm starting to find "my style" so I'd quite like to show it off a bit! Of course, for work, it's often quite boring and always covered up by my company coat so it may be every other day (and be prepared for a lot of black trousers) but my days off should mix it up a bit!

I was also gearing myself up to put this blog on to youtube, now, this terrifies me, as someone who wouldn't even put this blog on her personal twitter for fear of what some people who I used to know would think, this is HUGE. But, after watching Zoella's "draw my life" video, I thought, if she can face her demons and do it, so can I! So watch this space...

Another thing that I think that I'm going to start doing, is showing you some different make up looks that I wear. For instance, for work, I wear barely any but somehow still manage not to scare the men that I work with, but often on my day off I like to spend a little bit more time on myself and try out some different looks. But this does mean putting photos of my actual face onto the internet. Scary.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts on these different things! If there's anything else you think that I could do, then just say and I'll have a think!

love and kisses

Avon Speed Dry + Nail Enamel - A Review

Hello Lovelies,

I’m trying to be more structured with my beauty blog posts to ensure I cover the features of a product you’d actually want to know about, not just what I was doing when I bought it! So here goes for a super professional review of Avon’s Speed Dry+ Nail Enamel!

Avon Speed Dry +

The shade that I went for was “Smokey Pumes” which, when I received it, I realised that it was almost an exact dupe for a Barry M Nail Varnish I’d literally just purchased, but on reflection, this is a fair bit darker.

Avon Speed Dry +

And boy, does it go on well! It’s got a fairly big brush which usually scares me as I can be so cack handed, but this one is super precise and seems to hold just the right amount of product.

It does also dry pretty quickly, of course, I’ve mentioned before, I do a few really thin coats and build them up rather than just one thick one so most nail varnishes do dry quite quickly to begin with, but then fall down at the final coat after all that effort!

Avon Speed Dry +

In terms of colour match to what’s in the bottle, it’s the closest I’ve ever come across, it really bugs me when a varnish is a totally different colour on your nails to how it appears in the bottle. But this one is almost an exact match after just two coats!

Avon Speed Dry +

It’s really easy to take off as well, some varnishes end up smudging all over your fingers and staining, I must admit I’ve only taken this off when it’s been over another varnish, but it didn’t stain and only smudged a tiny bit, but I was in a steaming hot bath so I can’t really blame the product!

Overall, I’m really impressed! This is my first ever Avon Nail Varnish and I’ll definitely be buying more!

Love and kisses
