James Brown Hair Reviving Dry Shampoo - A Review

Hello Lovelies,

I don’t normally have the confidence to give my opinion on hair products as whenever I start out going to a different hair dresser I always say “ohh I’ve heard it’s good to do this” or “I’ve heard this product is really good” and they almost always tell me that I’m wrong and I’ve been damaging my hair.

This one though, I think I’ve got a fairly good understanding of. It’s not something that I use much as I always endeavour to wash my hair every other day so that I don’t need it and I’m quite lucky that if my hair is greasy,  putting it in a pony-tail will disguise that.
What I’m talking about here is the James Brown Hair Reviving Dry Shampoo, I love James Brown, he was fantastic on the Great British Hair Dresser and his products always smell so lovely!

I’ve looked on the boots website and this has some quite bad reviews, I don’t know I’ve experienced different because my hair gets more dry and weighty than actually greasy but I’ve found different to those that say it just makes their hair worse.

You only need a small amount and then really work it through your hair and it looks a lot better. I’ve never found a dry shampoo that can also make your hair feel like it’s just been washed – I think that would be a miracle product.

I also try to do this after I’ve styled it (probably only loose curls or straightening, nothing fancy) and then roughly work it in with my fingertips. I don’t know if this is something that I’m doing differently too as I find that if I put it in, then try and faff around with my hair it does just make it look worse.

It’s fairly expensive at £7.19 and I only ever get it as part of the 3 for 2 that boots often run on James Brown products when I’m buying the shampoo and conditioner, but I never buy any dry shampoo on it’s own because I rarely use it, so it’s nothing personal.

I do want to try out some others as I’m fairly virginal when it comes to dry shampoos and my hair can tend to go quite flat, so I may well find something just as good if not better for less money but until then, I’m happy with this being my freebie!

Love and kisses
