Thankful Thursdays - Max

Cue: A Million pictures of my dog...

Hello Lovelies!

Apologies that I've been more than just a little distant these past few weeks, but I've found it a bit hectic settling into working life!

Here's my first "thankful Thursday" in a little while and as it's just me and my dog today, I thought who better to dedicate this to than him! I know it may seem a little wierd to be that enthusiastic about a pet but if you knew me in real life it would make complete sense.

Max is 4 years old now and i've had him since he was 22 weeks old. Apart from a few months when I moved out and wasn't allowed a dog, we've been inseperable. Until I met Lee, he would be at the bottom of my bed every night without fail and would have worked his way up to having his head on the pillow next to mine every morning. During the summer holidays whilst I was at school we'd sit in the garden and subathe for hours on end, and now that I work, there's nothing better than him bounding up to me as I get home.

I really don't spend as much time with him as I should, and maybe that's why him and Lee sometimes struggle to get along, because we used to spend every second together and now, of course, he has to play second fiddle sometimes. I think i'm going to surprise him with a walk to Skegness today if I get time!

Max isn't your ordinary dog, although Lee tells himself that he loves going for walks and running around, I know my puppy, and his favourite ever thing is to lay in the sun and have a nap all afternoon. This is probably why we're a perfect match for each other! And he bloody loves cuddles! Never before have I met a dog who loves being snuggled up in someone's arms as much as my Moo does. Again, probably why we were made for each other.

I'm not going to pretend that I never ever get annoyed with him, because he's a small dog and can get under your feet sometimes as he always follows me around, but the brief few days that Mum looked after him recently, it felt like a very big part of my home was missing. He's often found smiling when he's playing or curled up into the crook of my leg when I'm sat on the sofa and I've never meant anything more than when I say, I don't know what I'd do without him.

He has got me through more difficult times than the carefree little munchkin will ever know, and I love and need him more than he realises (I know that sounds so stupid because he's a dog so he'll never comprehend anything of this sort) and now I'm going to wake him up from Lee's armchair and give him a big squeeze and a cuddle and tell him how much I love him!

Expect another blog or two to be up today as I'm dying to hit 500 views and have some lovely things to upload!

love and kisses
