Clarins Week | Beauty Flash Balm

Hello Lovelies,

To finish off my Clarins week I decided to chose the Beauty Flash Balm, I can remember hearing a lot about this product, but I can't remember what I've heard, stange.

As you may have noticed, I've been trialling a lot of products for tired skin, not sure if Oldrids did that on purpose or not but my skin does feel more refreshed and awakened. As I said yesterday, I'm saving the rest of this for a special occassion and it made my make up sit so much better.

I haven't used this as a mask yet, but I am dying for Lee to go on a boy's night out (how often will you hear me say that?!) so that I can sit and feel this benefit my skin! Again, it's slightly pricey at £29 but as you can use it as a balm or a face mask, It's something that I no longer want to be without.

I've thoroughly enjoyed using all of my Clarins products this week and my skin is loving them all too! I think they're fast becoming my favourite luxury skincare brand. My Sister has loved Clarins for a while now and I can completely see why.

Workwear | My Top Choices

Hello Lovelies,

So as you may or may not know, this has been my first few weeks in my new job and since I'm trying out fashion pieces I thought that I would show you my idea of a perfect work outfit. This grey dress is formal and slightly fitted however still playful enough to show off my youth. I'm not quite into tight fitted dresses as I feel that they're slightly too old for me in the work place, however I've worked soley with boys for so long that I like to wear skater dresses so that I look feminine and girly.

I always try to go for a slightly thicker or block heel as otherwise they get ruined during the commute (driving is so bad for thin heels) and they also put a lot of pressure on the ball of your feet whereas I find block heels so much more comfortable. I always tend to stick with black because it's formal and smart and will go with any outfit that I put together and suede will match with or without tights.

A large tote back is essential for me, if I'm taking a small bag to work you can be sure I'm not really into it. I have to carry my personal filofax, all of my make up, phone, keys etc and my diary and notebook to and from work in case I have the urge to do any extra curricular activities (yes I am a geek). I also believe that I read somewhere that the bigger the bag, the smaller you look in comparison so the bigger the better!

I tend to go for blacks and greys for things such as skirts and trousers and then stick to fairly dark colours too for dresses, only ever really going light or bold for tops. Mainly because I have to dress fairly conservatively for work due to the environment I'm in and also because then you know that things will always match and you don't have to spend a fortune on your work wardrobe!

Clarins Week | Cleansing Milk with Gentain

Cleansing Milk With Gentian "Combination/Oily Skin" - Clarins

Hello Lovelies,

I've dropped the ball - I'm really sorry but I just haven't been able to get a picture of this and now I can't find it for the life of me! So the picture is from the Clarins.co.uk website, I need to start photographing products before I use them but I'm always in a rush - sorry!

So onto the product, this stuff makes me feel like I'm a baby. Probably because the last time I had anything to do with milk other than as a cooking ingredient was when I was a baby, but also maybe because of how soft it makes my skin?

This really makes my skin feel soothed and nourished, I recently got sunburnt and I took to this to cleanse my skin as it looked so gentle. Now that my skin has returned to normal, I'm saving this for luxurious pamper evenings as it's so gentle on my skin and makes me feel as though I'm at a spa!

It's £18 for this full sized and I do see myself investing, just not quite yet (more due to budget constraints that anything else) purely because it's going to be great if my sensitive skin ever flares up.

Clarins Week | Advanced Extra-Firming Eye Contour Cream

Hello Lovelies,

Day 3 of Clarins Week brings us to the Advanced Extra-Firming Eye Contour Cream.

I'm ashamed to say, that I really think that I need a miracle product for my eyes. I'm only 20 years old and I already feel as though I need something to help my eyes...

Now, I don't think that I've got enough of this product to start seeing a benefit, although it makes my eyes feel more nourished in the morning, it hasn't really helped with my darkness problem. You smooth it on at night and it's supposed to firm and brighten your eyes.

For the £39 price tag, I really would have expected a little more from this product, I've had about 10 uses out of it already, and although I'm not using it exactly religiously, I have given it a fair go at improving my eyes.

As I said, I may just need  to give it more time, but that's a lot of money already spent before you start to see a benefit and considering I'm comparing it to other Clarins products this week, It's just not as good for twice the price.

Clarins Week | Super Restorative Wake-Up Lotion

Hello Lovelies,

Welcome to day 2 of Clarins Week!

Today it's the turn of the Super Restorative Wake-Up Lotion, I have been loving this stuff and I'm now saving the rest for a special occassion or a day when I just can't wake up as it makes such a difference.

You put this on with a cotton pad, and then apply your normal moisturiser over the top. In my opinion, it makes my skin appear firmer and as though I've had time to spend hours prepping it ready for my make up when in fact I've barely done anything - winner.

It's a little more expensive at £28.00 and I think it will be reserved as a birthday present to myself (the list just keeps getting longer) as I do find that a little steep for an extra, possibly unneccesary, step in my morning routine.

Clarins Week | Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel

Hello Lovelies!

So this week I wanted to do something a little different, I recently went to one of my favourite stores, Oldrids, and they ever so kindly gifted me some lovely Clarins products that I have been just loving! I'm going to do a little review everyday on a different one so keep your eyes peeled...

To start the week, a refreshing cleansing gel! This product is, in my opinion, the perfect morning cleanser. It wakes me and my skin up and makes me feel as though I've really cleaned my skin ready for the day.

It is a foaming cleanser which means that it's a little more time consuming that my No7 Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise routine, but as I don't have to leave 'til a little later any more, I really don't mind and it feels like a good use of my time.

It's £12.00 for a full sized bottle of this and I'm definately considering in investing! I've always been a fan of Clarins products and find that they're extremely effective without a huge price tag.

I know that I'll be gutted when my little sampler runs out as it's been so beneficial for my skin, but It's not going to break the bank to buy the full sized version!

love and kisses

Eylure | My Go-To False Eyelashes

 Hello lovelies,

Ever since I can remember I have loved false eyelashes, they just take your eyes that one step beyond what any mascara could do. I'm not exactly one of these girls who wears two or three pairs before even stepping out of the house, but if it's a special occassion then I always tend to treat myself to a nice natural pair to just enhance my lashes.
I don't think that I have ever worn a brand of false eyelashes other than Eylure, they always seem the best quality and the most natural of appearance (it takes a lot for me to wear big, thick eyelashes). I don't find any false eyelashes particularly easy to apply but after a few tips from reading other beauty blogs - I tried these out yesterday and it was so much easier.

Their individual lashes are something that I wish I had more time to apply, these take me a good hour just to apply these so you can imagine what sort of a "do" it has to be, however they last so long. When Lee and I first got together, I wore these the night before for a night out and they last all night out, all night through my sleep and all day at Alton Towers - crazy. They really do stick on and it was only because a couple had fallen out that I took the rest off.

There's always so many different ones on offer that it takes me forever to choose a pair but I'm never left disappointed! I tend to go for their "Naturalites" collection which is around the £5.35 mark from boots but if you take them off carefully enough - they last for quite a few wears!

Love and kisses

Natio Renew Radiance Foam Cleanser | Review

Hello Lovelies,

Until recently I hadn't paid any attention to my skincare, however I've got quite into it all recently and this little beauty is partially why! It's the Renew Radiance Foam Cleanser from Natio.

I have adopted this as my "luxury cleanser" to get me ready for a big day or a night out as it leaves my skin feel super super clean and refreshed. It's not got a particuarly luxury price tag either, although apart from Debenhams (where it was £2.84 and sold out) I can only find it for sale on Natio's webste at $15.

Unfortunately I only have a sample size of this little baby as I received it in my April Birchbox but I am going to make it my mission to find a full size version of this before it runs out.

It does leave my skin a little dry for my liking but I think that's because it cleans so far down and really gets all of the oils out of my skin, but a good moisturiser always sorts that out no problem.

I've been trialling a few different cleansers recently so I hope you're ready for a wave of cleanser reviews! This one is still a very firm favourite.

love and kisses

Becky
