Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm

Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm £8.50 - Every now and then we find ourselves putting our precious skin through harsher conditions than we care to realise, and need a little extra boost to put things back to normal. That could be a number of things such as prolonged sunbathing, going on an aeroplane, moving house or giving your home a good old spring clean, there's so many things that puts our skin under stress and can negatively effect the way that it looks and feels. For my hands, the answer is always the Weleda Skin Food to resolve any harsh treatment, however for the rest of my body, I turn to Eucerin and it's Soothing Skin Balm it feels almost like a gel formula that you apply to the driest areas of your body such as your knees or elbows, I personally like to apply this either at night or if I'm keeping those areas exposed all day, as it can feel a little sticky under clothes. Within one day it calms any irritation from dust or kneeling on carpets (I'm talking to clean skirting boards or move furniture, minds out of gutters ladies!) as I often find that as well as dry skin, it can often go red and itchy too. Of course, it also makes my skin baby-soft again too and gives it an extra-intense boost of hydration. It's also handy if you're into extreme sports, Lee and I are keen bikers, and are partial to racking up the miles round some fairly hairy off-road courses. On those days I like to apply this before we get on as I personally find the thick formula protects my skin on the journey round just incase it's particularly windy or raining, and then again afterwards to restore any moisture that I may have lost on the trip round. TMI moment here, but it's also good for saddlesore afterwards (it is a real thing, I found out the hard way). This isn't a particularly glamorous product but it's definitely one that I recommend keeping in your stash, you never know when you might need it!
