MakeUp Revolution Iconic 3 Palette | Review

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette £4 - If you haven't heard of Makeup Revolution then where on God's Earth have you been?! They've taken twitter and the blogosphere by storm with their endless dupes and budget alternatives. I'll admit, I didn't rush out to buy everything up as soon as they launched, mostly because I like to physically see things with my own eyes before parting with any money but also partially because I'll admit, I was dubious. A £4 dupe for a £36 product? It must be too good to be true, right? Wrong! I still don't own enough of this brand but the nearest counter to me is in Nottingham which I don't visit very often anymore, as soon as it comes to Boston, I will be all over it. The one thing I did take a chance on was the Iconic 3 Palette, an obvious dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. Since being trained as a Makeup Artist I've become much more adventurous (by my own standards, therefore this is pushing the boundaries for me) with my eye colour so this caught my eye, although I wasn't bothered about the Urban Decay version I thought I might as well take a punt and I have been so impressed by the quality of these eyeshadows, they're super buttery and blend like a dream. The colour payoff isn't the best that I've ever seen but I'm usually confined to my MAC pro palette so I'm trying not to compare them too much and you can build them up if you so wish. The staying power is also pretty impressive, they'll last all night on a night out (4/5 hours) and you won't need much of a touch up to last you throughout a whole day at work either. This palette generally finds its way out when I'm going for a day out with the other half and want to look pretty but not have to put too much effort (or time) into my appearance. You can create a really subtle yet effective and pretty look in as little as 5 minutes, in fact the thing that takes me the longest is deciding which shades to go for! They all look so beautiful that it's hard to choose between them so I always enjoy experimenting between them all. What do you suggest I buy from the Makeup Revolution range next?
